About Tanglin

Established in 1925, Tanglin Trust School is the oldest British international school in Southeast Asia. Tanglin provides the English National Curriculum with an international perspective to children from 3 to 18 years in Singapore.

Tanglin is a vibrant co-educational school of 2,800 students representing over 50 nationalities and provides a unique learning environment for children from Nursery right through to Sixth Form. As a not-for-profit school, tuition fees are devoted to the provision of an outstanding education. As the only school in Singapore to offer A Level and the IB Diploma in Sixth Form, all of Tanglin’s Sixth Formers study a programme that is tailored to them. Students’ examination results consistently surpass Singapore and global averages, with around 97% of graduates typically receiving their first or second choice university, which are amongst the best in the world.

We value the opportunity for all to take risks, learn from mistakes, express themselves, and reflect on life and learning.

Purpose

We are driven by our desire to teach students how to enjoy learning, playing, and making friends.

We allow students time and space to be who they are and discover who they might become.

We celebrate students’ personal fulfilment, achievement, and success in all that they do, in and out of school.

HISTORICAL RESULTS

Admissions

Tanglin looks to enrol students who will join in and purposefully participate in the rich curricular and co-curricular opportunities offered at the school.

True community requires everyone to contribute. We endeavour to shape a student community of leaders, creatives, athletes, outstanding speakers, musicians, artists and innovators. Tanglin learners are inspired to try new things, take risks and be passionate about what they do, and to nurture and inspire one another in the process.

OUR SELECTION PROCESS

Our selection process is designed to identify students who will benefit from our balanced and well-rounded education and will make a positive contribution to the Tanglin community. We look for applicants who have demonstrated a positive attitude and approach to learning and who have the capacity and desire to contribute positively to all aspects of school life.

Applications may be submitted up to three years prior to the desired year of entry. Beyond Nursery, place availability relies on withdrawals and, as such, demand generally exceeds availability of places in Reception and above. Entry at Nursery is strongly encouraged. See below for entry criteria.

Additional considerations apply to children who are Singapore citizens. Read more about Tanglin’s admissions policy, terms and conditions below:

BILLING CYCLE FOR SCHOOL FEES

School fees are payable in advance and billed on a termly basis with payment due dates as follows:

Important Information:

For new students, two terms school fees are payable prior to admission:

First term’s school fees as confirmation of acceptance of the place

Following term’s school fees payable prior to the start of the first school term

For students enrolled after December 2009, the school requires two terms school fees before the start of a school term and each term school fees shall be paid as illustrated below:

In the event Term 1 school fees are billed before the announcement of the annual school fees revision, the additional school fees applicable will be included in the Term 2 school fees invoice.

There are three terms in each school year. The annual school fees are spilt into three equal amounts and billed on a termly basis. The length of each term is not a relevant factor.
