Former Olympic Champion Mashu Baker was the most exciting name among the winners of the Kodokan Cup in Chiba on Sunday. Baker hadn’t been active on the mat since 2019. In 2019 he didn’t make it to the quarter finals of the Grand Slam in Osaka as last remarkable result. This weekend he qualified for the last Grand Slam of the year in Tokyo in December by winning the Kodokan Cup in his class U90kg.
